The Search for the Perfect Pasta Shape is Over

Did you know that there are about 350 different pasta types, and with all those options people still can't find the perfect shape? Look no further, thanks to this man named Dan Pashman, who had a podcast called "The Sporkful" HE decided to create the perfect pasta shape, and it wasn't easy. He spent three years doing research including, visiting the Pasta Lab at North Dakota State University. Yes, that's a real place; where they create new noodles. He also spoke with experts, I didn't know pasta experts existed, then came up with the perfect pasta shape. It's called "Cascatelli," which is Italian for "waterfalls" It makes sense because it had waves on the side and is curved like a rainbow. It sorta of resembles a waterfall if a squint haha But more important than the look is the function of it, it has a lot of space for holding sauce on top if it. I'm a saucy girl lol so if it can hold just the right amount I'd be thrilled. According to Dan, he was looking for a shape that was easy to get on the fork (thank god I can't stand spaghetti), how well it holds sauce and how satisfying the bite is. This shape was the best one in all three categories. The company Sfoglini is selling the pasta and last a checked there was a 12-week wait list for it. I definitely want to try it to see if it's really perfect, but I guess I'll have to wait until summer lol

Check it out below and here hm talk about on his pad cast here.
