Jimmy Buffett's Escape to Margaritaville is at PPAC Now!

Jimmy Buffett has brought Summer back to Providence! It may be getting chilly outside, but it's warm and tropical inside the Providence Performing Arts Center this week as the new musical Escape to Margaritaville kicks off it's national tour. The show is packed full of Buffett's popular songs, everything from Come Monday and Fins, to Cheeseburger in Paradise and of course Margaritaville.

It's a fun, lighthearted show with lots of laughs, but there's not a lot of depth to this plot, kind of like the relationships the lead character prefers to engage in. He likes his love life to remain on the surface, never getting deeper, and he always wants those relationships to end after a week. Tully Mars is a singer at the shabby Margaritaville hotel on a small island. He often hooks up with the female vacationers for the week that they stay on the island, and once they head home he's on to the next one. All that changes when Rachel arrives on the island for a vacation with her friend Tammy. Tully falls head over heels for Rachel, and wants to keep in touch, but she's more into her career and says goodbye. Will they end up together? You'll have to check out the show and see! Oh...and be sure to grab a margarita in the lobby!!

Jimmy Buffett's Escape to Margaritaville is at PPAC through this Saturday, October 5th and tickets are still available at the PPAC Box Office by calling 401-421-ARTS or CLICK HERE to find out more.
