Providence Bound MBTA Train Catches Fire

A fire broke out in the engine of an MBTA commuter rail train heading from Boston to Providence yesterday evening. Officials say Providence Train 831 was delayed at Canton Junction at around 7:30 p.m. because of a "mechanical issue." A "suspected engine turbo charger fault" caused smoke and flames to shoot out of the top of the engine. No injuries were reported, and after a long delay, passengers were transferred to another train. Looks like all is running smoothly on the MBTA this morning...for now.
