This story is so disturbing, but this dog needs our help so I'm going to share her story. Misty the dog was allegedly sexually abused by 38 year old Michael Woodhead of Lincoln. He was arrested last week and charged with "abominable and detestable crimes against nature, as well as unnecessary cruelty to animals." Poor Misty suffered a ruptured uterus and had an infection and sepsis. After undergoing emergency surgery at Ocean State Veterinary Services last week, Misty was in critical condition in the ICU. Yesterday, The Rhode Island Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals said she is now in stable condition and recovering “in a loving foster home.” However, the dog's veterinary bills are very high and are continuing to grow.
