According to UBC psychology professor Stanley Coren these are some of the least intelligent dogs based on obedience. Basset hounds made the list…yeah my family owned several of those many years ago and yup, they’re dumb and pretty stubborn. Lots of other hounds are on the dumb list, including bloodhounds and beagles. Beagles? Come on…Snoopy was smart! He could cook and defeated the Red Baron! Also named are the chow chow, the shih tzu and the bull dog. Sorry to say for you fans of the afghan hound, that is the least intelligent dog. Again this is according to one professor. Your pup may not be the smartest, but he sure is lovable!
