A couple of one-time Rhode Islanders performed on The Voice last night, both for Team Gwen, but only one will continue on in the competition. Troy Ramey, who graduated from Newport’s Rogers High School, made it to the top 12. Sadly Johnny Gates, a singer originally from West Warwick, was eliminated. Johnny was on his second chance. He was kicked off the show in the Knockout Rounds at the beginning of April, and then brought back by his Coach Gwen Stefani.
