St. Patrick's Day Parades Are Already Being Cancelled For 2021!

Well looks like I'll be having another rotten St. Patrick's day birthday. The pandemic lockdown literally started on my birthday last year, and restrictions on gatherings are ongoing, so officials are already cancelling celebrations for this year. The St. Patrick's Day Parade in South Boston has been called off again. Organizers tweeted, "We look forward to finally seeing you all again in 2022."

In Pawtucket, the normal parade is cancelled again, but word is they will have a motorcade of some sort instead.

Down in Newport they're not quite ready to commit to cancelling. Organizers of the city's St. Patty's Day parade still have a tentative date for their parade set for March 13th, but have also have asked city officials for September 25th as a back up date. Currently they're waiting on final word from the Newport City Council. What do you think? Would you want to get your Irish on in September?
