Barstool Fund Helps Jimmy's Pub In Mansfield Keep Their Doors Open!

Yesterday I took my mom to lunch in Mansfield...to Jimmy's Pub. I haven't been there in years, but the food is really good! I had a tasty buffalo chicken sandwich, and my mouth is still on fire!

Like so many other small restaurants, Jimmy's Pub has had a rough year thanks to the pandemic, but they got some help from The Barstool Fund to keep the doors open and paying the staff!

Jimmy's Pub has been a favorite of locals for decades. Owner George Pantos started the business back in 1979. He explained how difficult this past year has been for the restaurant saying, "Forty-one years have come and gone very quickly. This pandemic puts it into perspective how quickly those 41 years could be over like that."

He heard about the The Barstool Fund, created by the founder of Barstool Sports, David Portnoy. They've raised over $22 million to help out restaurants across the country, and so far they've given money to 113 small businesses!

Recently Pantos sent in a video to the Barstool fund, and a few days later heard from Portnoy himself who told George they'd be helping him pay the bills. Check out the video call below! Jimmy's Pub will receive money monthly through the remainder of the pandemic!
