Virtual Reality Skydiving Coming to Patriot Place in Foxboro!

Attention thrill-seekers! If you’ve always wanted to jump out of a plane with a parachute, but never got up the nerve to actually do it, here’s the next best thing.Patriot Place in Foxboro is opening up a new indoor skydiving facility! Freedom Wind Tunnel Indoor Skydiving, uses the latest virtual reality technology, and a 100 foot tall wind tunnel. With the VR goggles, it’ll seem as if you’re carrying a football and diving down to the stadium’s 50-yard-line.

A former military man came up with the idea. Army vet Neal Gouck of North Attleboro was once part of a West Point skydiving team, and he’s been trying to get this idea off the ground for a while. Neal said, "Now, after 5-plus years, we are ready to break ground and you might say, we are out of the plane and already in free fall. We are excited to move into this next phase of development by landing this facility at Patriot Place and turn that simple conversation so long ago into concrete reality."

Not only will the skydiving attraction be fun for thrill-seekers, it also has a practical purpose, and can be used to train military and professional skydivers. Look for the attraction to open in Fall of 2020.
