Massachusetts Man Accused Of RI Skimming

A Massachusetts man has been arrested on charges of running a skimming operation that targeted ATMs in the Cranston area.

Police have charged 33-year-old Ivan Gomez Liriano of West Springfield with several counts of fraud, conspiracy, and damage or destruction of a computer.

Gomez Liriano is accused of installing the devices on credit union ATMs to steal debit and credit card information from customers.

Investigators became aware of Gomez Liriano and were able to track his activities before his arrest on March 29th.

He is free on five thousand dollars bail and is due back in court in July.
